EXHIBITION, COMPETITION & SALE: Sunday November 4th, 11 am – 4 pm, at New Brighton Middle School Performing Arts Center, 250 Washburn Ave.
This fall, forty professional artists will arrive in Capitola to paint the town…literally! It’s Capitola Plein Air 2018, back for its fourth year! Artist set up their easels on the wharf, shore, and streets of our beautiful town, to paint live for three days. You’ll find hundreds of paintings on display, for sale, and entered into competition on Sunday, November 4th, when you can take home a piece of Capitola culture, vote for your favorites for the People’s Choice Award, have a delicious meal from the food truck, or get creative and make some art yourself!

Meet our Judge, Terri Ford
Lily Pads sur Ciel Bleu, by Terri Ford. 4th Place Award, Pastel Journal Pastel 100 Landscape Division and Honorable Mention at IAPS 32nd Exhibition
A native Californian and alumnus of the Academy of Art College, Terri realized a deep connection with pastels in 1987 and has worked with them ever since, both in the studio and en plein air. Her paintings are representational, with some more impressionistic and others more realistic. Read more…
